New feeder service links Rotterdam and Stockholm

A new feeder service between Rotterdam and the northern part of Sweden has begun operations.

The new feeder service, operated by Swedish feeder operator SCA Transforest AB, calls in Rotterdam at the ECT Terminals and the SCA Interforest Terminal and three ports in Sweden, including HPH’s Container Terminal Frihamnen in Stockholm. The service has a port rotation of Umea – Sundsvall – Rotterdam – Stockholm.

The new service is the latest in what is a steadily growing number of services between the Scanbaltic Area and Rotterdam. Such services allow shippers in Europe’s northernmost markets to access international shipping routes faster and more efficiently via ECT’s terminals. 

The first call to Stockholm will take place on the 18^th of June 2010.
